The final countdown has begun!

With the beginning of the new year the final countdown has begun to the publication of Di's "yet to be given a title" book.

Over the past 12 months the Sisters have been watching and waiting while Di has gathered together the best of her completed quilts; designed a few new ones; stitched like a demon; and then with heart in mouth consigned the quilts into the caring arms of DHL to send to France so that Quiltmania could begin the publishing process. (And yes they all arrived safely and are having their moment in the spotlight as they are photographed for the book.)

The official launch date of the book will be April 24th at Pour L'Amour du Fil in Nantes, France.

For those lucky enough to be going to this amazing show you will be able to buy a copy there.

If not, you will be able to purchase a copy online from Quiltmania.

And here in Australia, if you want to get in early, Corliss (from Threadbear in Castlemaine) is taking advance orders.

Now, how many sleeps is it?????

Until next time,

Meghan

    1. Hi Francoise, Di most definitely will be in Nantes. As well as having many of her quilts from the book on display, Di will also be teaching. There are classes scheduled from 2pm-5pm in the afternoon of the first 2 days. Why not sign up? Di is a fantastic teacher - I started my quilting journey with her back in 2004 and am testimony to her skill and patience.

  9. I had a feeling, but wasn't too sure about it. Unfortunately I wont be arriving at Nantes till late thursday afternoon (my chauffeur is busy with his official job and the driving is soo boring when done by yourself) but I was lucky enough to be able to attend 2 workshops with Di at Zutphen. You're right, it is a true pleasure. I can recommand to anyone.

  10. Those who love to create will find sewing a worthwhile hobby to pursue. You can work with items as simple as cross stitch designs, or even make your own clothing. The type of sewing supplies that you will need depend on the area of sewing that you intend to pursue.
    Thanks……
